The Hollywood Walk of Fame is administered by the HCC and maintained by the self-financing Hollywood Historic Trust. A history of the Hollywood Walk of Fame can be found at http://www.walkoffame.com/pages/history.
Annually in June, the HCC nominates individuals to receive Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars for the next year and memorializes the nominations in their meeting minutes. As soon as the minutes are generated, HCC will send the meeting minutes for acceptance to the BOE where a Board Report will be generated to allow for the BPW Commissioners to accept the new nominations. No names will be installed in the public right-of-way without first obtaining the permit to do so along with any authorizations required.
